Yes. I had a similar issue recently because I had no one else qualified to drive it in the area. That was a ballache.

I have a (car) driver who didn’t check fluids, ignored oil warnings and caused £5000 damage to a 19 plate car. His manager accepted the costs against his department cost centre rather than go after the driver because he didn’t feel it was worth the effort in case it went legal, even though our drive...

Go out with a driver for a bit? I’ve done that - thinking more a mechanical overview. I grew up with the family having a haulage firm but this was nearly 40 years back. Morning, all. Just renewed one of my licences for the first time (internal TM). We’ve been sent a new blue disc with the new expiry date on. Does the old one need to be returned to the TC, or just destroyed?

Also an internal TM, just had 2 weeks off. Left clear instructions that if there was an real emergency they should text my work phone and then proceeded to ignore anything that wasn’t texted.
