Too true Steve 62 replies, all very helpful and I'm not having a go at those that have enthusiastically answered .....but to solve a problem that doesn't really exist. Yes I'm sure there are a tiny minority of operators wanting to 'cheat the system' but how many ? 0.01% of the industry and that's b...

Not having a go at you Ian but how bloody sad is this industry, when we have to record the use of a product, that was invented to create yet more jobs and taxes! I'm so pleased I'm soon out of it. I quite agree mate, and it’s something I’d never even thought of if I’m honest. The tank empties, driv...

porrewinp's idea is fine mate 🤷 your monitoring the usage and as long as the drivers log the litres and sign to say they have, then the DVSA/TC can't complain can they? 👍 nothing wrong with his idea mate, but the drivers I had in mind wouldn’t comply with that method despite being paid for hours th...

I have an operator who buys it in IBC's Ianphally70 and I had this discussion last week when having an OTC audit. My operator doesn't have a meter and there's nothing to say you must have a meter, you just need to monitor the usage. My way the auditor accepted - fnd out what size the Ad-blue tank i...

I don't see the point myself you would if you got marked down in an enforcement visit! But I would have agreed with you, when I was driving, tank would empty tank would get fillled, I think it’s to ensure that it is actually being used by the system and not leaking anywhere I'm tm for a small firm ...

Measuring is one thing but, who knows how much you should be using? I know I don’t exactly, diesel is a little easier to manage, this particular fleet all did around 12mpg on average. There’s just always something they want you to have in place that can be hard to implement! Different if they were ...

Hello, Adblue monitoring.
I have a client that has adblue in IBC. Simple nozzle system to fill up. What would you suggest to record how much is drawn? Would the date and a rough guess be sufficient or do we need to look at the expense of adding some sort of meter to the tank? Cheers

Unfortunately, this is what is happening in the Industry, because there are people out there who are prepared to become involved on the basis that Shelley has stated. The number of Agency’s who are involved, seeking TM’s to sign up with them, passing on details and charging a Fee, where there is no ...

Tell your tm to go on a refresher course. I’ve just done one and bugger all about this was mentioned. Plus as an instructor I deal with the DVSA on a regular basis and they’ve not mentioned anything either.
