the instant he started work both he and his employer were afforded protections through employment law. that's to do with slave labour not an employee 🙄 some rubbish on this group, fair play it still applies, nobody is legally obliged to work, slave labour is subjective. the instant he started work both he and his employer were afforded protections through employment law. Getting technical, article 4 of the European Convention on Human Rights prohibits forced labour so you can stop working whenever you like. Unless you’ve signed anything regarding gardening leave you’re home and dry. They have to pay what you’ve earned and ACAS will make them if they don’t. PRINT YO...

I agree, his home address is not the employer’s responsibility. If you don’t like the commute don’t apply for the job.
