Note them on the pmis, if it’s a paper system I’d create a spreadsheet. Lots of digital systems out there now where you can set warnings for specific depths

Didn’t think earnings came into it. It just can’t be your main occupation. Does it take up most of your time running the transportation side of things? If so you may need to upgrade

not my card pal, a friend of mine. He applied a few weeks back now but doesn’t appear to have been processed. Thought I’d read somewhere the card expiry date have been extended but I’ve read that much the brains a mush some days. I’ll tell not to drive just to cover himself once the card as expired...

If you are using tachomaster already there is a section in the portal where it will tell you if the head unit is compatible or not

Possibly. If the O licence is in a LTD company name you could purchase the company. It will need a nominated TM on the licence though

From memory I think it’s Spain and Germany that require this by law. Defo two European countries but not the UK

Can’t see the issue really. If done early better than late. I’ve had 22 off on sorn and these were extended on mot and had to re tax these but could not move DAFS until taxed ( as provider has no trade plates) Merc were ok but we taxed these anyway... All Went for a new ( old PMI) before on road ( ...

Amend your schedule and tell the fitter he’s created himself unnecessary extra work.

Tachomaster Dot (remote download). You get their falcon tracking with this all for £20 a month per vehicle

Tachomaster sell the DOT device, it plugs into the back of the tacho head, remote download and falcon tracking. Data is analysed by you. Simple to navigate used it for years

1- You can’t be a Self employed driver any more. See IR35 legislation. 2-employment rights don’t cover self employed people 3-If the company is refusing to pay an invoice it’ll be the small claims court. Depends what driver did throughout the day. It’s possible to have a 3 hour rest mid shift then it would count as a full daily rest

about same price for digi VDU In my experience of outsourcing it can take weeks to get the data back. I used to scan them in house when most of our fleet was analogue. Now fully digital with remote download. Instant real time data allowing you to deal with infringements and lost mileage within hour...

infringement letter. Make note of faulty tacho and tell driver to carry with them. Book vehicle in for calibration and fault diagnosis. Save copy of repair sheet with infringement letter.
