You need to visit them in person , find the right person there, then convince and negotiate with them directly on-site. They've rented out parking spaces before, that's how we know their address but it is usually not their main business so they may need some convincing. Your first idea will be to Google and try find their phone numbers but it doesn't work for most of them and you will need to visit them in person one by one. There's no easier and more reliable way to find a yard without a prior knowledge of it. How to approach, negotiate with and what you need to get from these operating centres can be viewed at this link . If your city is not in this list, you can look them up yourself by city or partial postcode at this link .

Excellent guide to applying for OL !
However, I have a concern about Item 1. Ltd vs ST.
I have to caution you and the readers, the comments suggest that being a ST is not necessary to register anywhere.
However, if you are newly starting out as an ST business, you MUST register at HMRC (for the Tax & NI stuff).
Whereas, as a Ltd Co. you have to register at Companies House & HMRC.

Ian David Cunningham - Rogue transport manager that fools and scams inexperienced operators

Transport manager Ian David Cunningham is based in Abergele, North Wales and he operates throughout the North West around the Liverpool and Manchester areas. When he became the transport manager on the operator's licence of Milada G Limited (OC2050845) around May 2022, he tricked the inexperienced operator into signing a contract whereby the operator would owe him money for the entire year even if Cunningham resigned early (not even dismissed but resigned voluntarily). After less than 4 months on the licence, Cunningham did in fact resign ostensibly because the operator took 1 or 2 weeks to pay his last invoice. Before he even resigned, the operator had already paid Cunningham £450 per month in full for all the months when Cunningham was on his licence and he even paid in full and in advance for the partial last month in which Cunningham resigned early. However, Cunningham still sued the operator for the remaining 8 months which amounted to £3600 (£450 X 8... - 0 Replies

Neri Nightingale posted a complaint in the Facebook retard group for TMs about an operator that I referred to her who supposedly didn't pay her . She should've clarified that she WAS PAID for her first month in ADVANCE. The operator didn't use her TM services at all during that first month. He essentially disappeared and no one could find him. Also, his licence came up for a renewal at the end of her first month but he didn't renew it. In other words, the company went out of business during her first month. In these circumstances naturally he didn't pay her (also in advance) for the SECOND month. So she could just remove your name from his non-renewed licence and forget about it. She didn't do anything, she got paid for the first month and before the second month even started, she already knew that it was extremely unlikely that he was going to keep her as TM and continue paying her.
She also posted that she got no support from me . I did my best to get in touch with the operator... - 0 Replies
