all depots are different.. but most importantly just get out there and enjoy

for my lot the domestic breaks unpaid up to a maximum of 2 hours for a single break.

Eg if you have 2 separate 1hr breaks one usually the longer is unpaid, if you get 45mins then 2h 20mins your break just counts as 2hrs. Can be good and bad

I've been with the companies 19 months and haven't had any issues, always plenty of overtime if you want it and my fellow drivers are great and its the drivers that will have your back if you got any issues

Yeah South Yorkshire is pretty dire. West Yorkshire pays more, why most Arriva drivers in Wakefield actually live in Barnsley.

Stagecoach on £10.43ish last time I checked where as Arriva A rate is over £12.

Very few depots do. In Stagecoach I only know Exeter/Torquay that pay breaks.

atm due to what’s going on in the world overtime isn’t great but normally it’s all the time

and weekends rates for city drivers are about £14 I think but the pay is good only deducted 30 minutes a day and paid the rest

Inspectors try to help where possible and getting time off is rarely an issue.
Maybe I'm sad but I love my job.

no mate but I'd think of size of company....not one driver has been made redundant with my place.....something to consider

You're better of asking about the specific area you are looking to work in as companies vary greatly between areas.

I worked for Stagecoach London for 4 years and never had an issue with them, transferred to Stagecoach West Scotland and wanted to leave the minute I set foot in the place.

Having worked for stagecoach in different areas, you can't judge it as a whole as there's some rubbish places as I've found.
I thoroughly recommend Stagecoach South though!

I spent 15 years with them scared of being sacked every day. As I always say to people, working for them was like serving a life sentence, except I got time off for bad behavior.

it's not just stagecoach, most if not all of bus companies work you to within a second of the legal hours. I know of a company that included any layover time towards your break even if it was 5 minutes.

Argument there was always if your running 6/7 minutes late then it couldn't be counted as you were straight in, change blind, machine then out again. Still counted as it's on duty card and they didn't check.
