I think that is commercially confidential and dangerously close to suggesting illegal price fixing.

Illegal price fixing ? What about the big retailers paying exact the same 550 a day/12h shift. And why isn't that in some strange way, if all decided on their own for a rate, they haven't done so at 1000 per day/10h shift?

Cristiveli the retailers are paying more than £550, I promise you. It is the middle men who all pay around £550. Consider that :?

Not what you can charge it's what you can get... Rates are already dropping.... Have seen some sub £600 day rates again... You want £50 per hour how ever you rate the job...Pence per mile or job rate and £25 on top if you're pulling your own trailer.

If the operator licence system returned to the old A,B&C regulations, whereby proof of need was paramount to obtaining an haulage licence, rather than obtaining licence willy nilly & then going on facebook looking for loads, only then will rates become realistic!

We price at £2.00/ mile yard to yard unless we desperately need a load to make the job work well
