Operator has just brought a new unit, inserted company card, but when we insert a driver card in it ejects it out and say’s wrong card. Can you please advise?

There's loads of that happening I've sent two of our drivers cards back. Seems to be a faulty batch of cards.

Is the driver card new? A lot of new cards recently have had to be sent back due to faulty chip

sounds like another faulty card you will have to get in touch with them to replace it or pay to get a new one which is annoying but much quicker as you can do it online

Yes it’s a new card we have purchased the unit how can we bring it back to the operators yard?

you can drive all this time without card with printouts. you must print a ticket when you start the program and when you finish it. and keep those tickets as any tachograph record in your company. And you must follow the driving schedule that will be recorded on the ticket.

Faulty batch of cards off loaded onto drivers. Must be well up in the hundreds now with faulty cards

DVLA has confirmed that a batch of faulty cards has been issued. Drivers should continue to make printouts as per regs whilst replacements are ordered

DVLA have over the past 4 weeks issued faulty cards to drivers. Send it back to them explaining the issue.

My old card still valid until July I have received new one tried to insert into tachograph shows wrong card but on my new card valid date starts from July maybe that's problem have to wait until valid date will begins.

But also there is faulty cards that have been sent out.

There is a bad batch of new cards you will have to send it back and get a new one

Old owner didn’t lock out with his card
