Transport Planner - this role could be an immediate start if you are available.

Due to a recent promotion this new Transport Planner / Transport Controller role is commutable if driving from Tickhill, Maltby and North Anston. This will involve Monday-Friday working hours typically 8-5.

This new Transport Planner role will assist the depot manager in the day to day transport planning for multi drop and adhoc deliveries and collections. As the company is expanding throughout the UK, this would be a fantastic opportunity to join this plant hire/construction firm. You will route a team of construction related lorry drivers deliveries/collections. They may be low loaders, beaver-tails or similar arctics, rigids or hiabs.


You will be working for a Blue Chip supplier of a complete range of construction equipment across the region who are looking for an organised Transport planner to join their professional team.


Duties will include:

Scheduling movements of various plant hire equipment to high priority contracts

Assisting with scheduling of routine servicing and repair of fleet

Route planning whilst ensuring drivers hours and WTD are adhered to

Tachograph, smart analysis and Telematics reports to be processed and any issues or trends fed back to line managers

Maintaining working relationships with the drivers and the operations team


To be successful in the role of Transport Planner, you will have previously worked in positions as a Transport Controller, Transport Router, Logistics Coordinator, Transport Clerk or Logistics Planner. Also if you have a background in construction, civils or the hire industry it would be an advantage. You may hold come CPC qualifications also.
