Dip it if uve 450 litre tank and uve bout 5 inches uve got bout 60 litres

You will make it 5 mile mate yet and not do any harsh accelerating so wont draw and sh*t through your lines

A14/A428 unfortunately it’s a hotspot for the scroats that take diesel fuel.

there isn't enough parking for every truck so some have no choice but to park in lay-bys.

2021 and you have to dip the tank because DAF couldn't put a simply display on the dash telling how many miles till empty like "normal trucks".
Hope the new ones are better than the outgoing dinosaur.

just go on your trip info I reset it weekly and hasn’t let me down yet

yeah but doesn't tell you how much you have left, only your trip miles. In my case I'd done 126 miles since i filled up yesterday.

I start with 460ltrs and I know how much I bunker out so easy to work out (ie)200 out source this week plus 460 start=660 fuel used 538 leaves me 122 in the tank hopefully

well don’t park on the A14 with a full tank learned my lesson 30yrs ago never again ,we now get all parking paid for

that wasn't the intended situation. I left Wolverhampton for a trip to Suffolk and I needed diesel as I was running very low. My trip down there and back out was delayed, then i got stuck at a BP on the way back, all I needed was the loo but that delayed me about 45 mins. The weather was dire last night and by the time I'd gone past Cambridge I was feeling very tired so I had to stop for the night. Normally when I'm on the A14 I stop closer to the M6 jn without issues. Just happened to be a chain of events building up throughout the day Normally when I park up I'm only on about 1/4 tank.

On a daf, when the light comes on u ha e 10%of ur tank capacity left..... 500litre tank =50litres
May not help in this case but for future

5 miles should be ok you still have 5 liters in the filters

No, it was definitely the A14 out of Cambridge, jn13 for Huntington was 5 miles in front of me.
