Not your problem. Check oil and water do a daily walk round check report any issues that is your job

DVLA site. Technically you are obliged to ask operator for copy and valid insurance. But in 40 years on the road I've never done that. But years ago I did have an operator forge a cover note and had a date in Magistrates.
