same as the dartford bridge that's an A road too. Doesnt become a motorway again till the A2 junction

that law was brought in in the late 60’s early 70’s but, then they put speed limiters on truck engines to 60 mph, totally uncalled for and dangerous. On a recent visit to uk I see it was still in force. Then while driving in Cumbria the perfect example arose, as I explained to my wife how ridiculous the law was. A truck doing about 58 mph going up a long slight incline and another travelling about 60mph , I think it was on the A 66, dual carriageway we sat behind them and it took a few miles before the faster truck managed to pass. I thought they needed to get someone with a bit, just a bit of logic to put that law in the rubbish bin.

It's because especially in roadworks you have cars sat in middle lane for 45mph in a 50 and wonder why your flashing them. You can't undertake because there's a flow of traffic already doing so gets to the point you think f**k this and use lane 3/4. Some not all car drivers just drive around like nobody else is on the road forgetting what an accelerator pedal is for.
