Also the fine happened in June so the appeal and reduced fine options have passed.
In agency so phoned my agency today and they said they have nothing to do with that side of things so I’ll need to speak to the depot manager - he’s the one who handed me the PCN and all he said was I’d have to appeal it.
Is there legally any policy on how soon a employer should take to let you no uv got a traffic fine as the fine has since gone up and I didn’t even no I had a fine.
Tried calling citizens advice but no answer after 20mins.
Thing is I’m also driving for the council yet it took them over a weeks to notify me, tried calling the council but they were also no help.

then stop worrying just now .. contact the people the fine came from. Explain that the fine gets issued to the company etc. and didn't get passed along... just see what they says

That's for a Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) not a PCN as far as I'm aware.

I had this with NEXT Distribution, I left and a month later was sent the bus lane penalty, when I queried it they had tried to palm it off on me because I had walked n got another job. I wasn’t even working that day! I always write down what vehicle I was in on what day n going where. That way I was able to look bk or I would have ended up with a fine that didn’t belong to me!

14 days is for the registered keeper to be informed, then they send your info away and then you would get the nip in the post to you, it can take a while from the nip being sent in the 1st instance if for example the wagon is hired it will go to the hire company then to the company that is hiring the wagon and then they send your details eventually you get it but it will be past the appeal time etc, I dont think that they would get a nip back to them with your details on unless it differs from a speeding ticket, did the nip have your name etc on it?

precisely my point, it doesn't have your name and address on it, it's not your problem until it does, and the fact they've waited this long to do it means the half price offer expiry has lapsed, so unless they send it back in your name, it doesn't effect you in any way, crappy company action if you ask me

I need to see the full letter, all councils have different letters but long and short of it, the company will have to deal with it, you can't as ita not in your name, the only thing you can do is pay it, but why should you, if they transfer it to your name you will get a letter giving you the 14 days at half price, not all letters give you the pic, but when you go online it's there view, I'm not disputing the need for it to be paid but you should have the option to have the 14 day discount and because of the idiots in your firms office you don't, so until that's dealt with, it's down to them...

I check to see which driver was driving it and pay it straight away, then it's down to the boss if he decides to make them pay it, I'd never give the driver the letter and say it's down to you as it has companies name on it, so if driver doesn't pay its the company they has the bailiffs on the door not the driver

yeah, it's a follow up. Your company have stuffed up here. I would get them to actually get you to nominate you as driver. At the moment the buck stops with them, as the owner of the vehicle.

Ring the council tomorrow they must have a department that deals with things like this they will confirm dates of letter/s sent and you can query the photographic evidence good luck

that rule doesn’t apply to companies that lease their vehicles, so there’s no 14/28 get out!
