Hello guys, anyone know how to get a job as a bus driver? every job I applied they where looking for 3 years experience for insurance purpose. Passed my test. Be happy to here your tips.

I had the boss of a local company take pity on me after seeing me struggle for 8 years so he put me through my test, on an intensive,

and then I then worked off the cost and just stayed put as am happy with the job I do. I think it's just pot luck and perseverance.

Best bet is to go for one of the national companies - then once you've passed and "paid your dues" then you may want to move on.

I work for stagecoach St Andrew's we have a great boss even our senior managers are great, always pop your head in the office for a bit banter pretty much like Plymouth come into your work every day and be nice to your passengers.

Look after your passengers and they will look after you. Anyone with a bus licence just now will only get service just now with tours and private work being non existent.
