Volvo FH 500 6x2 questions

Post by Nailui »

Hi all! I'm planning to buy a Volvo FH 500 6x2 from 2015 to 2019, with around 500k KMs on the clock.
Before I get in touch with Volvo, I have seen the prices are running around £15k + VAT, and out of curiosity, How much does the initial payment has to be, as a minimum (I am trying to save some cash for later) and how much will the monthly instalments could be, assuming that it is a Hire Purchase.

On the other hand, because I did not open an LTD yet, could I get a contract on my name, as a future administrator?

What should be my maintenance expectative? And what is the average consumption, assuming that can do a mixing between a heavy load and a light load?

Are there any best of the best models?

Is it better to buy them from Volvo or from different sellers?

Many thanks for your answers!

Brand new with full R&M would allow you to limit how much you spend up front if you can get it financed, plus you know your monthly costs exactly, used, your balancing cost v risk if your lucky it's way cheaper, unlucky and it's a new gearbox. Main dealer is likely to cost a bit more but will know the previous owner and service history as well as being more likely to allow some kind of warranty and actually honour it, buy from a random yard and you won't know if it's hauled rocks all it's life or start stopping in London never out of first gear.

The questions you ask really say that your a few years away from being ready to run your own motor. Trust me I've done it. You need to be all over everything before you commit. So if you've got a few years driving you need to get o licence cpc then maybe get in office for a year or 2 and 6 months laboring in a garage will open your eyes.

yes, I'm researching, I'm ready to do my TM CPC and I want to put the hours. I want one unit only, and don't want to get rich, just to pay my bills.

I'm looking for one unit only at the moment, I'm ready to put the hours as long as it pays the bills. I'll do the TM cpc, and curently looking for the operating centre
