If an 18 tonne truck is a plant vehicle, but drives for hire on the public road to get to job sites, legally can you not use the tacho machine/card?

If it’s plant it’s not a hgv, driver will be operating it under domestic hours

Classation of vehicle with distance from base dependant but could be domestic or log book to log hours worked. As I understand it with mobile plant.

Log books 11hr max shift if drive 4hrs less than 4hrs no limit but adequate rest must be taken max work 13 days in a row 14th day must be off

Any deliveries at all includes site clearances requires full EU which superceded GB domestic and applies for that week weekly rest EU to be taken too

can’t Carry a load on a mobile plant machine, so it can’t deliver anything
