Has anyone had any experience of MOT testers refusing to test trailers with palm couplings, we operate a fleet which is on palm couplings and have no problem in two areas but in Warrington for some reason the tester has said they can’t test.

Raise a complaint, no reason to refuse a test on palm or duo coupling

Could only see it being an issue if your not presenting tractor and trailer together, they may not have adapter to be able to brake test separately presented items

we offered to supply adaptors, we can’t supply tractor unit at same time though.

Just being awkward by the sounds of it - worth speaking with the workshop controller and making sure they know how to couple to their shunter - lot of guys wont see euro palm couplings very often
