Pretty sure reverse alarm is required on anything over 2 ton,

I done my course about 20 years ago, it may have changed since, but me and the rest of the class at the time found this a interesting fact

I've just had a vehicle off road getting the reverse alarm fixed, I always thought it was a requirement.

Unlikely but a switch to turn them off at night time probably is? Reverse cameras are a good investment as the probability of a collision reversing is disproportionally high.

midnight till 7am they must be switched off

HSE would say otherwise. Well they did in 2010 visit we had.

Not required by law, not checked on annual test either

Not a requirement at MOT but roadside inspection they quote Type Approval making it a requirement that if fitted its working.
