It depends where you live and how you plan to use it.
It’s amazing how negative people are to it when folk like yourself ask but they are likely all on it.
It’s graft, always read the orders so you know how they want to be invoiced and what they consider a POD.
bid what you can afford to do the job for and not a penny less.

£2500 for one driver or fleet?
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
well they are lying. 1 driver is 1300. I paid 2661 plus vat for my fleet
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
I paid 1700 2years ago this year is 1440 for 1 van. I know they give whatever price they want.
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
£50 a week for a year to get some contacts could be money worth spending but it certainly ain’t gonna be the way to earn a fortune, they sell you a dream but the reality is a different ball game
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
I wouldn't give them £2.50
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
I have old fleet package it under £1750 with the vat. I mainly post jobs these days
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
I've never thought so since starting trading in 2018.The reputation for bad payers put me off. Later I met CX SV drivers saying dead Jan-Mar and be lucky if get 60p/mile of current rate. I may try the much cheaper Same Day Courier Network for the 3rd time and see how things are in East Midlands currently.
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
Worth every penny if your posting jobs or looking for back loads apart from that you couldn’t make a living from it
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
It's not the site but how the users perform on it.
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
They are believing there own marketing bs and killing the site themselves by ramping up costs of membership rapidly, larger posters of loads are being charged close to 10k plus a cost per load allocated , once those companies start to pull away from the site it will loose larger volumes of loads posted so will die
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
getting charged a fortune, but it’s all relevant to the number of loads posted / booked.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:25 pm They are believing there own marketing bs and killing the site themselves by ramping up costs of membership rapidly, larger posters of loads are being charged close to 10k plus a cost per load allocated , once those companies start to pull away from the site it will loose larger volumes of loads posted so will die
Not saying it’s something I agree with, however completely understand why they’re doing it, it’s a business
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
true but even larger volume posters are weighing up the cost v benefits, yes it provides an easy outlet to sub loads but there is the question of quality sometimes as well, plus for some mad reason teg think there offering a tms and accounts package to larger companies and charging for that which is an irrelevant add on for larger companies ( it’s ultimately just an outlet for advertising loads)Hitenes wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:26 pmgetting charged a fortune, but it’s all relevant to the number of loads posted / booked.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:25 pm They are believing there own marketing bs and killing the site themselves by ramping up costs of membership rapidly, larger posters of loads are being charged close to 10k plus a cost per load allocated , once those companies start to pull away from the site it will loose larger volumes of loads posted so will die

TMS via the xx ? Intrigued - considering we’ve just spent the last 12 months developing our TMS and portals
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
there tms idea would only work if all your work was via the exchange and in the real world larger companies don’t just use the exchange and will have an existing tms so won’t be utilizing the teg one and it’s accounts package / pod portal as it increases work needed not decreases as doubling up, we just treat it as an advertising platform ( I’ve been using hx for 19 years now 10 years with current company)Hitenes wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:27 pmthe accounts package isn’t fit for purpose.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:26 pmtrue but even larger volume posters are weighing up the cost v benefits, yes it provides an easy outlet to sub loads but there is the question of quality sometimes as well, plus for some mad reason teg think there offering a tms and accounts package to larger companies and charging for that which is an irrelevant add on for larger companies ( it’s ultimately just an outlet for advertising loads)

there no way we could use cx as a TMS system - and most certainly wouldn’t want to neither.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:28 pmthere tms idea would only work if all your work was via the exchange and in the real world larger companies don’t just use the exchange and will have an existing tms so won’t be utilizing the teg one and it’s accounts package / pod portal as it increases work needed not decreases as doubling up, we just treat it as an advertising platform ( I’ve been using hx for 19 years now 10 years with current company)Hitenes wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:27 pmthe accounts package isn’t fit for purpose.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:26 pm

yep neither would I, I don’t even like my staff putting full address details on there just basics and rate confirmations ( due to a previous issue we’re apparently a large transport and courier company was given full access to address database plus it’s doubling input time ) as we send separate confirmations with address details from our own tms ( andHitenes wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:28 pmthere no way we could use cx as a TMS system - and most certainly wouldn’t want to neither.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:28 pmthere tms idea would only work if all your work was via the exchange and in the real world larger companies don’t just use the exchange and will have an existing tms so won’t be utilizing the teg one and it’s accounts package / pod portal as it increases work needed not decreases as doubling up, we just treat it as an advertising platform ( I’ve been using hx for 19 years now 10 years with current company)

the same. Job / rate / supplier confirmations all must be from a completely separate system.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:29 pmyep neither would I, I don’t even like my staff putting full address details on there just basics and rate confirmations ( due to a previous issue we’re apparently a large transport and courier company was given full access to address database plus it’s doubling input time ) as we send separate confirmations with address details from our own tms ( andHitenes wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:28 pmthere no way we could use cx as a TMS system - and most certainly wouldn’t want to neither.Jonest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:28 pm

The loads from there get sent to other websites. I never got responses from bids. Return loads is far better value for money as you can actually contact companies directly and get loads without having bidding wars.

As a freight forwarder it’s a bargain, problem is quality of drivers on CX in my experience! But that’s my side of the business!! But agree, it’s a lot of money if your trying to get into the game and truthfully they corner the market on none contract work!
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
quality of FF more like. Jobs declined all the time no matter of the price given, unless its below 50p per mile they won't even type your number in their phone.Bramlett wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:42 pm As a freight forwarder it’s a bargain, problem is quality of drivers on CX in my experience! with a relatively large long term customer base CX works for me as all my customers get supplied what they want, when they want it. CX is the back up for when my regular drivers are on the road. Not being an arse about it, just seems to me that CX gets criticized a lot but it all depends on your part in the logistics world and how you use it. If it didn’t exist a lot more self employed drivers would struggle.Woonder wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:43 pmquality of FF more like. The quality of drivers has got nothing to do with it!!Bramlett wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:42 pm As a freight forwarder it’s a bargain, problem is quality of drivers on CX in my experience! A driver with immaculate feedback offers £150 .. XLWB .. 100 miles .. Hotshot!
Another driver, not as immaculate, slightly iffy, bids £100.
Now, tell me which one you will go for?
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
I heard 2700 plus vat tiday
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
10 years ago it was fantastic, 5 years ago it was great, now it's just fairly good. It has been eroded by excessive charges to shippers, poor payment performance by unscrupulous middle men, and declining service levels from subcontractors.
We still use it a lot, but recent times have emphasized to me that we as a company need to become less dependent on it.

Biggest waste of money, get some leaflets done, and door knock.

Not worth it the rates are shocking
Re: Morning guys, I'm told courier exchange is £2500 by one of their sales team..... Value for money?
Gone far too expensive now.
But they say its improved and has better tech ect. So that what your paying for.
I've had good and bad experiences on this site but wouldn't rely on it all the time for work.
There are some people to avoid working with on there.

7.5 tonne + plenty a work, anything below the supply just outweighs demand
