I've been using one of theirs for 2 years with no issues, cost me £103 if i remember rightly, which is cheap enough. Or, an HGV atlas showing low bridges etc. preferably, if you can afford it, get both. 👍

You can use free online maps, such as Google Maps or Yandex Maps, to plan first-class routes. These maps allow you to plot routes, stop points, and show the distance between them. They also report traffic and travel time. You can also use apps on your phone, such as MAPS.ME or Waze, which also allow you to build routes and take navigation instructions.

Tom Tom 6500 life traffic but obviously you have to do some research and have the knowledge of every road. The perfect sat nav doesn't exist, but this one is the best of all. I tried them all.
Good luck!

that’s true for the likes of supermarket deliveries or parcel lads that go to the same places all the time, not so much for everything else

doesn’t work for tramping because you could be going to the same place from different areas and definitely doesn’t work for what I do on building sites because it’s very rare you get the same place twice

I also use this but I still plan first as sometimes it can try and use 7.5 ton restricted roads or even ignore the actual more direct route in favour of 3 others 😀

Never seen a truckers atlas that can give live traffic updates and optimise routes to avoid delays! Come on gramps...it's 2023 not 1975...a decent SatNav can save you a fortune and it's an investment that will pay for itself within weeks!
Get yourself a TomTom Go Expert 7...better still a 2nd hand TomTom Go Professional 6250...the 6250 has it's own built in SIM so doesn't need pairing with your phone for live data!

Look for Chris Salisbury on Facebook, he sells them at around £100. They are easy to use have all UK & EUROPEAN bridge heights on.

I had one for 7yrs worked about 99% (nothing is 100%) bought another one last year. So that's about £150 spent over 8yrs, that's what I call good value 👍😁👍

The expensive sat navs are worth the outlay. I have a Tom tom go expert 7 and it has never missed a beat, live traffic, weight limits, bridge heights etc.
You get what you pay for. (Hopefully not) but one day you will come a cropper against a low bridge or some kind of obstacle and you will be wishing you had made the investment.
