Just recently passed my HGV transport manager exams.
What do people recommend external or internal first? If External where do I start?
I have 1 years experience in an office working as a transport operator.
I am in the Kent area currently driving class 2 along with completing assessments and other training. I have recently updated my CV, applied for TM job but no one’s coming back to me.
TIA

thanks! Go for the class room! I bought the £750 one online done about 86% of it some was good some wasn’t. I still have access to it until June. I tried just through the book as well but I definitely preferred the classroom more interaction etc. PM me

I teach TMCPC, my professional advice would be that it depends on what type of leader you are, if you prefer guided learning and can sit in a classroom and absorb 4 fairly informative modules a day, then do that, if you prefer working at your own pace, then home study with support might suit you best.

your be fine. Always read the question twice before answering it. If you don’t understand it or not sure move on and go back to it. And in the case study do the sameShaheenfe wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 1:47 pmYes mate, the SEGA exam is tomorrowFinchro914 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 1:46 pmfingers crossed she passes this time but if the worst comes to the worst try the CILT exams it’s 40 questions in multiple choice.

People will give all kinds of advice, do what fits in with your life, it if you are going to do ETM work, be careful not to take on too much too quick. My personal advice for ETMs would be to start with one or two Green Operators and see how you get on. If you want to discuss further cell free to get in touch.
Re: Just recently passed my HGV transport manager exams. What do people recommend external or internal first? If
If you pass one exam with SEGA, then you have to do 2nd exam with SEGA, or start from scratch with CILT. They will not recognise each others exam passes...!Finchro914 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 1:46 pmfingers crossed she passes this time but if the worst comes to the worst try the CILT exams it’s 40 questions in multiple choice.Armijosco wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 1:45 pm60 palFinchro914 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 1:45 pm

I was taught to do the MCQ paper by going through the whole paper and just read the questions first. Then do all the answers you know immediately, the easier ones, get them under your belt without thinking too much. Then go back to the slightly harder answers that need a couple of seconds thinking time, get them done. Then finally hit the hard ones and spend all the time left to get as far as you can with them. Maximise your scoring.
