A question about the tachograph.

Post by tandra »

A question about the tachograph.
After driving 2 hours continuously can I take the 45 mins break in full or I’d have to have driven for 4 and half hours to take the full 45 mins.
I don’t really want to separate my breaks like 15 mins and 30 mins in this 4 and half hours time frame that’s why I am asking if I drive for about 2 to 2 and half hours then take the full 45 mins break in one go and after that my driving time resets to 4 and half hours? Or I am not allowed to take the full 45 mins break in one go before completing the whole 4 and half hours driving?

You can drive 1 minute and take a full 45 or however long you wanted...

You could drive for 10 minutes and take your 45 minute break it’s up to you, you just can drive for more than 4.5hrs without taking a break,
So if you take your break now, and your drive for another 4.5hrs you’ll need to take another 45 minute break

You can break anytime from 1 min to 4.5 hours but can’t go over 4.5 hours without break.

9/10 hrs driving time can be spread however you want as long as you don't go over 4.5 hrs continuously driving...

I’m going to be a distance driver but I don’t want to look for a place to rest in the last minutes
