Morning,
Am after some advice/clarification please?
Have started work as a TM for a drainage company. They work exclusively for a water utility company.
They only have 4 HGV on a restricted licence.
They also operate 30, 3.5t vans.
The drivers are classed as drainage engineers and don't use the the tachograph card to register the hours they work. They use log-books.
Due to the nature of the work they work until the job is finished.
I am concerned that if we have audit that we are breaking the law.
Am i worrying unnecessarily?
Thank you.

Re: Drainage company help
My understanding of the licencing rules:
According to the regulations, if you are employed as a 'drainage engineer' and you drive a vehicle to the job you don't need O licence as long as your required equipment is permanently installed on the vehicle. Driving is not your main job and you are not held to follow the driving hours!
