It depends, I'm in Scotland and timber tramper drivers can get easily over £ 100 than me that I deliver spirits to distilleries. Some competitors of my company gets £ 15 basic and £ 17 o/t though, so maybe they are very close to those on timber work

ADR, full tanks and packages gets you 28hrs towards CPC round here, so a no brainer
you can only claim 14 hours now. Did mine in October last year full adr 5 day course
got 28 when I did mine in November
that's weird as there is a new ruling that you can only claim 14 hours now. That comes from the adr office in Scotland. Any extra hours applied after a certain date are void

new rules came in July 2020 so I would check your cpc
i got full 28 hours and then 7 hours on top for pdp. Think if you do the whole package the tanks and core add extra hours just basic course is 14 no? I only did mine in august got 28 hours and all valid on my cpc online when checking dvsa

I did the full 5 day course too tanks and packages so all classes basically apart from explosives. I had to claim my 14 hours myself too to be fair though I didn't pay a penny for the course so can't moan.

this is what I got from a 5 day course and a few people kicked off about only being able to claim 14 hours. Maybe I'm missing something here it's also in black and white on the gov website but their must be a way around it if people are getting 28 hours

no idea mine are used as I've been issued my new card and the other invalid as i didn't need the hours and had just banked the 35 so couldn't bank any more just before new issue
that's off the gov website . A few people have been stung with them saying the extra hours are invalid you can only claim 14
28 hours each time
that's mad. I was told different and research backs it up but the Internet isn't always right I suppose. Must be some loop hole with the way the trainers submit the hours

Hiab. It's mainly day work. Piece of piss. I'm an ALLMI instructor, it's a 2 day course. Just don't use an Atlas crane, heaps of sh*t
couldn’t agree more about Atlas, they are shocking, HMF or HIAB cranes I have found the best
I did full adr 5 day course through funding in October last year and I'm better off money wise on general haulage. Adr just doesn't pay unless you are on fuel tankers and they haven't had a rise in years apparently. I would do your hiab more money in it

most fuel tanker companies by me are on 45k a year upwards.
I started on 42k a year with no experience

that's not bad . The closest place to me is valero in milford haven and its dead man shoes but I think my point is general haulage wages have gone up and fuel tankers has just paused so the rest are catching up now

yeah that's true. Had my adr since October last year and still looking to get on tankers but it's whether they want to invest the time in the petroleum passport part too
