Hi all. A client of mine is about to acquire a tractor unit but it does not have a button on/off for nor installed the alarm when using for reversing. Is this a legal requirement that a tractor unit or an artic to have an alarm sounding when reversing? Thank you.

I know that. I'm asking if it is a legal requirement to have one fitted on a tractor unit.

I suggest that you look at the DVSA/ CUR Regs 1986, or ask your maintenance provider.
If its gone through a MOT, but that's not a guarantee
