Have you tried putting your parents on your policy as having an older driver named on it can help to bring the quote down also try direct line as my son got a better price from them with me and his dad as named drivers

You’re a young lad regardless on what licence you hold. It will be a few years before you can get cheap insurance.

We’ve all been there mate. You’ve just got to bide your time. That’s a lot of money. My Golf R costs £265 fully comp protected NCB - but I’m 49 and probably classed as old!

All they think is money, they can get away with it so they do, they charge whatever they like there is no logic behind it and they think of nothing else other than how much will these idiots pay (meaning everyone paying for car insurance me included)

I've held a license (car) since 2013 not had a single accident or claim...yet passed my Class 1 (2018) and my insurance went up £120 - I'm classed as a professional driver, shouldn't that put it down

ahahah this is it mate, you get granny’s that can’t even park in an empty Tesco car park that pay less per year. Thing is it just seems to change for different people, some above said it went down some said it went up. Insurance just seems to be a legal way to rip people offdaniePanier wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 11:38 amI was on the phone and was like excuse me how do you work that out, I'm technically more qualified at driving than half road users, never mind Susan with her clapped out pergeot at 80Lukellar_18 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 11:37 amthis is exactly my rantdaniePanier wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 11:37 am I've held a license (car) since 2013 not had a single accident or claim...yet passed my Class 1 (2018) and my insurance went up £120 - I'm classed as a professional driver, shouldn't that put it down

11 years no claims and mine went up 40-50 quid a year when I passed and started driving class 2.. I worked in an office before.. apparently re-doing theory tests/hazard perception and passing a driving test in a hgv makes you more of a risk? Go figure..
