Depends if you accepted on your own admission?
£450 a week might not suit some of those V8 £million pound a week, will be out of a job sooner than you because the business cannot sustain that level of expenditure drivers… but for some people it’s great!
Just think those Europeans people you all wanted rid off are probably on less than £450 a week but look after the lorry, do a good job and don’t expect to be blown off by the guvnor at the end of the week for spending 5 hours a day stuck in a Tesco RDC…
What works for some does and doesn’t work others
If your happy crack on if not find somewhere else

If you work more than 50hrs it’s less than legal minimum wage & therefore illegal. Work it out

if paid by the hour yes, if salaried there’s not much you can do about it

of course you can! Simply divide salary by hours worked! If it’s less than NMW it’s illegal. Hourly paid or salaried makes no difference

Yes, I start at 7am contracted to 4:15pm and I get just over 500. More if I do overtime. My jobs great and I like the work. Good balance so I'm ok with it.

For 20 years I drove for a blue chip company with overtime and shift premiums. I was earning £44000 at the end the most I earned in a year was £54000 (same company).
The money is out there but you’ll have to work for it.

Ignore all the people saying yes, those are the people who probably work to chase money and do a lot longer hours in the process. Spending days on end away from home. You have to weigh it up! Are you home every night? Driving aside, is your job really that hard and do you feel the job itself is worth more pay or are YOU worth more as a driver? Are you left alone on a days work to get on with it or are you pestered, hounded and pushed and pushed to meet certain job criteria 🤷‍♂️ if you have an absolutely plain sailing day, no stress and enjoy your work/life balance… I wouldn’t have said it’s taking the piss really because you get much more than a lot of drivers do… and that’s quality home life with family and friends, and that mate… Money can’t buy. 💪 🙂
