N&P Crayford, paperwork said there is a height restriction of 15”2 on approach to this.
There is a sign on a one way road pre warning of this low bridge and says 13”3 I had 14”6 trailer but had my midlift up so was 14”9 in my Scania, first time I’ve been here so I got my height stick out and went to measure it and potentially get wet feet, however a bulk tipper walking floor driver was coming towards me shouting and screaming saying he’s 15”1 and he gets through. I said well done I’ll just my crystal ball out! Apparently it’s been like this for 8 years! 8 years and not one person has thought to fix it what a joke.

they can not touch the hight sings as that part belongs to railway and they will not let them change it. The argument has gone on for years

It was dug out without permission, I'm sure that the recycling company are being or have been prosecuted.

That’s been like that for about 50yrs, there used to be a Century Oils depot just through the other side on the left. I was there the day Elvis died.

wouldn’t surprise me if it was faked, nearly everything I was taught at school turned out to wrong. Teacher told me I wouldn’t earn a living looking out the window for starters.

in fairness the trucks were fine at Stobarts and they always prioritised defects over deliveries (ie it got sorted even if it meant the load was late) but, the atmosphere was far better when it was Irlams undoubtedly.

Because the road has been dug out it's now too tall for Dave from the council to reach the sign to change it cos he's only got a 3 rung stepladder and he's only 5ft tall, his mate Frank is 6ft 6 but he's afraid of heights and doesn't have a working at heights certificate, so it will have to stay as it is 🤣🤣
