There are plenty of happy drivers, and those ones are not on these forums constantly bleating on about wages! Not many careers where you can earn upward of 40k with 2 weeks training at the start and that’s it!!

Why would anyone pay you to do your licence when every man and his dog now has a licence ? Stop believing everything you read because I guarantee you most of the new passes are sat on a licence without a job themselves, there is no driver shortage.

Both are similar money per hour in my opinion but you will get far more hours in on the hgv’s and less hassle, passengers are a nightmare and shifts are pretty bad on buses but it’s easy. Both are equally sh*t

Unfortunately that’s why there’s a ‘shortage’ plenty of drivers but for various reasons some companies just ain’t worth working for. I know alot of drivers who’s returned to old jobs because of better conditions. That extra £££ usually comes with strings.
