Sat nav settings for HGV drivers. Common issues with sat nav routing. Understanding ‘except for access’ restrictions
I have my axle weights set at 11.5 because that is what I am sure the plate says but as to regards to the 7.5T restrictions TomTom seem to not understand how they work and when and when not to avoid them so it requires more understanding and knowledge to the driver planning his/her routes.

Every company I have been with will see dropping a trailer or failing to hook a trailer correctly as gross misconduct.

When you pass the sign at the 1 1/4M. This means you have been informed that lanes are now designated use! The white lines mean almost nothing after this point just there for insurance purposes and screw drivers that can't make informed decisions

As the roundabout is locally used, I would totally agree, it saves you from having idiot on your blindside.

It doesn’t hurt to go with Class 2, get a bit of experience and then go Class 1 just do it to suit yourself what you feel is right
If it’s a decent company and they look after you then weigh it all up
You might get a class1 job and they treat you like shite
