Check out Friendberry, they do virtual classrooms so no need to run around for the course. Have a chat with them, see if their 2-day OCPCR course suits your needs.

Re: Hello all Does anyone really work as Transport managers without the qualifications at all? Talking about people like

Hold up people, getting a couple of wires crossed here. On a restricted licence, under certain conditions, a TM is not needed. But if using a TM they definitely must be qualified. There are three paths to qualifying; one is via the TMCPC exam, the other is via "grandfather rights", the thi...

Re: Hi, Any recommendation on where I could do my tm cpc please around London? Thanks

We recommend Friendberry, they do virtual classrooms led by a live tutor, and encourage interaction in the classrooms. They provide training manuals that are really good reference manuals after you get qualified. Their course covers all the stuff you need to know, and get you fully prepared for the ...

Go back to the centre you did your exams with, ask them, they can guide/advise you, and if you ask will sort out the certificate at SEGA for you.

Hi, Asking for friendly advice. I don't have any experience in road haulage. I've failed 2 the case study. I studied with Driver Hire, the worst choice I've made. I would like to take the test this March. Would you be willing to let me know what is the best way forward for me, please? Obviously the...

Re: Hi all. Does one need extra qualification or an additional exam to be a TM for Standard International O licence?

Hi, you recently got your TMCPC qualification. Well done. That's all you need to do the TM role, regardless which of the three O-Licence types it is (National / International / Restricted). The only difference is the tasks change a little bit. Good luck fella.

Re: I would need some advice and information Where should I begin? What exactly do I need to become a Transport Manager?

HI, if you've been driving for 15 years you probably know half of the TM role. Getting alongside a TM for some experience would help. Then find a good training company to pick up the rest. They provide manuals for their courses, so if you get an hour or so during loading/unloading, breaks, or whatev...

Re: Evening all, After some changes at my current employer, And progression no longer been an option I was wondering if

If you are thinking to do your TMCPC, do it now. It's a hard exam, but it'll only get harder as you get older. Get it out of the way now, and even if you don't use it for a while, you have it in your back pocket for when you're ready. It sounds like you have a bit of spare time in work, which you co...

Re: Ok TM refresher time. Can anyone recommend a good online supplier who the Traffic Commissioner would recognise?

We're based in South West and use Friendberry as our local OCPCR providers. They mainly do virtual classrooms now, since the pandemic, but sometimes do real classrooms. The instructors are really knowledgeable, they have both PSV and HGV guys. We recommend them because they always provide good cover...

Re: COMPLETE GUIDE TO APPLYING FOR AN OPERATOR'S LICENCE - HGV (FREIGHT) OR PSV (PASSENGER) VEHICLES

Hi, Excellent guide to applying for OL ! However, I have a concern about Item 1. Ltd vs ST. I have to caution you and the readers, the comments suggest that being a ST is not necessary to register anywhere. However, if you are newly starting out as an ST business, you MUST register at HMRC (for the ...

Re: Just recently passed my HGV transport manager exams. What do people recommend external or internal first? If

I done the CILT one which is 40 and pass mark is 28 I believe. I was fortunate to of passed first time. 36 for multiple and 42 for case. Are you in the process of doing yours? 60 pal fingers crossed she passes this time but if the worst comes to the worst try the CILT exams it’s 40 questions in mul...

Re: I’m going in to a stand-alone position as a TM, booking the CPC and OLAT. What are the steps I need to take and what

If you're gonna do the OLAT, get it done immediately. That will give you a better insight as to what's in the TMCPC. It's an A-level in two weeks. It's hell (IMO). Anyone doing the TMCPC half-hearted will be doing a few re-sits. Have a look over the GOV website about becoming a TM, it'll give you an...

TM CPC Trainers

Where do I go to find work as TM CPC Trainer ? I had a couple of years with a start up training company but the pandemic finished them off. I heard Friendberry are looking for Trainers so I spoke to them, waiting to see what happens. Who else can I speak to to find positions like this ? I don't mind...

Re: Hi all, im new to the group but im in desperate need of some help/advice. My company put me forward for my CPC

If any of you guys got the one half of the TM CPC with OCR, and need to do the other half (whether MC or CS) you will need to use a SEGA centre, cos they are picking up where OCR withdrew and CILT or C&G won't do it. I would suggest Friendberry for this, they looked after us well. They had some ...
