my 30 minute break started at 15:30, so a 34 minute break (which I actually too) equates to a qualifying 15 minute for WTD should have started break at 14:45 not 15:30.. explain your thinking… because I don’t see where you’re getting your figures from started work at 0830, 6 hour point for 30 minut...

Problem occurs when you take a break early in the shift. You started at 0830 15 min break at 1000 to 1015. Next wtd due at 1615 (6 hour point), unless you reach the 4.5 hour driving point 1st. Wording of the law " you cannot work for more than 6 hours without a break". Common infringement...

you can’t opt out of WTD as a mobile worker and yet you can extend your working week beyond 48hrs but you are correct which I wasn’t aware of but not on average over the 17 or 26 week reference period. Average has to be below 48 hours or you’ve breached the WTD. Need any advice pop me a message ave...

Not max vehicle weight so ANYTHING under 18T, there’s a 26T one near us, my artic is 15T empty so through I go !! any over 18t prohibited. So anything 18t and under allowed 👍 know your weight, my rigs 15.150T empty so am through, it doesn’t say Max vehicle weight it say 18T max I’m not all good sau...

If the speed limiter is exceeded it is an overspeed company and legally, hgvs are allowed to do 60 but not powered they are only permitted under EU legislation (that we still have to follow for now) to do 56 powered, an overspeed is an overspeed just means its been recorded on your tacho is all f**...

Firms can’t opt out. I'm sure they can, according to the govt site. other workers can opt out of WTD but we’re governed by RTD rules with no opt out.. so until the government change the law we’re stuck with 60 hour max and 48 hour average. 60 hours max with all breaks & poa taken off..

Look to see if you’ve got a Co-op/GXO depot near you, they take new passes and pay £44k. Good way to gain experience quickly.

There is nothing to say about a driver not being planned for a 15 hour shift or a 10 hour drive but the planner/TM must be aware they have a duty of care to that drivers wellbeing 🤷 A good planner/TM will try and give notice so the driver can prepare but nothing in the legislation to say they have ...

as stated, made them more than aware, not signed any contract yet so they funded your training with out you signing a contact? as ridiculous as it sounds, they did.. told me they would get me a contract to sign for when I've passed, which I have now, but not signed it, as its stating my 3pm starts ...
