Re: Good evening everyone I am available from Monday next week lots of experience all cards up to date clean licence had

What's tickled me as a freelancer is why do I need a operator's licence is beyond me because as an Employee, the Operator and it’s Transport Manager have a duty to ensure that your driving hours etc are compliant, and if not to retrain and possibly discipline you. As freelance, who takes that respo...

Re: Good evening everyone I am available from Monday next week lots of experience all cards up to date clean licence had

I'm also well aware of the West Midlands tribunal and Asif Din and co. It's more complicated because not only was he using self employed as employed, he was using the fact that he owns all 5 company's on the Pi trying to make it look like the drivers were working for others when in fact it was one ...

it also says commercial drivers as in HGV. You really have no understanding do you? The commercial industry runs a completely different set up to the bus coach industry. If the tacho rules are different if you look. If you're an operator and choose not to use self employed freelance drivers that's ...

Re: Good evening everyone I am available from Monday next week lots of experience all cards up to date clean licence had

I suggest you read the properly. It refers to HGV drivers. Not once is a coach/ bus company mentioned. It also refers to drivers being employed as self employed when they should be on paye. Freelance means you drive for more than one company which, if asked by HMRC you must be able to prove by way ...

Re: Good evening everyone I am available from Monday next week lots of experience all cards up to date clean licence had

All drivers must be on PAYE. This is something that is being clamped down on heavily by the TC. There is an exemption if you very occasionally work for an Operator and earn less than £533 a month, which is when you become eligible for PAYE. The days of Self Employed / Freelance drivers have ended. ...

yeahhh that's fine, all PCV's are classed by the Gov website as buses so you'll be alright. Might just get one or two moaning at you I know Oxford can be funny about this sort of thing hence the cautiousness! I drive up bus lanes and use bus stops all the time in a coach, as long as it doesn't say ...

Lol @ all different answers. This is what I make of it. Before we work it out, remember the two relevant bits of legislation. Firstly, rest can be interrupted twice to embark/disembark for no more than 30 mins each (60 mins combined. The second bit, Dunkirk is 1hr ahead of UK time as far as I’m awar...

The answer is yes. Happens all the time in the PSV world, notably buses. Drivers changeover “in service” with passengers onboard and carry on driving. The driver who took the bus out in the morning would have done the walk around check, but up to 5 other drivers may drive that vehicle throughout the...
