Re: Years of doing this job, I've found myself questioning the hours today. Need a bit of clarity just to put my mind at
You stated that you can do 6x15 in a week, which is incorrect. A split daily rest is a minimum of 12 hours rest, which only leaves a maximum of 12 hours duty. And just so you're aware, there is no mention of duty time in the regulations, only the length of time for a rest period. no idea if you're ...

We have them. They cannot access them or spy on us. There has to be a request to view footage, complaint, accident etc. They do check they are working, about 80 wagons a week where they will watch for a minute and them come out (unless they see the driver doing something they shouldn't). I was wary...

That's you, if you imagine you're right. 4 ON 4 OFF isn't 7 days, so it averages out to 42 hrs per week over a period of time.

As they are both at a give way you give way to the right so the Blue car has priority then its clear from the right the red car has to give way to the Blue car as the red car will be crossing its path. 40 hours a week at 12.90 plus 20 hours at 14.46 will get you around 42k, that doesn't inc any bank holiday rate increases or nights out. So yes it's achievable on 60 hours paid average.

Sign your infringement and move on ffs 👍 its not the end of the world I'd sign f*** all unless a) it was written in company policy or b) it violated the law.. If I'm not in the wrong I'm not signing anything or if I do I'll put a note/disclaimer on it pointing out their error. Sign it and move on.....

Mate you need your cpc again, 6 hrs, 15 min break extends to 9 hrs, then you need another 15 break to work another 3 hours, but in meantime if you running out of driving hours, u need to take 30mins instead of the 2nd 15min a 15 minute break at 6 hour's gives you up another 6 hours it doesn't exten...

if your a professional driver then your bound by drivers wtd laws. So if for one day of the week your not on the road and in the factory then your STILL bound by drivers WTD law, which is what I originally said. You’ve lost me now, what does a factory have to do with this answer? either way try get...

so 15 hour shift with no break required if not more than 4.5 driving? never known anyone doing a straight through 15hr shift always had breaks somewhere along the line, the WTD, was just another additive to fine people for not taking a break when they want you to, control again at its best. The rule is very very simple You CANNOT work for more than 6 hours without a 15m break. For example, if you were on hammers for 6 hours you MUST take a 15m break. If you've driven for 4.5hrs and you take your 45, that covers you for the wtd 6 hour rule. If I'm on hammers for 6 hrs, I'm looking for ...

15 minutes is a wtd break. Never work more than 6 hrs without a break. If you work between 6-9 hrs you must take a break / breaks totalling 30 minutes. If you work over 9 hrs you must take a break / breaks totalling 45 minutes. But remember NEVER work more than 6 hrs without taking a break wrong Yo...

There's 2 parts to the wtd breaks. 1. The 6 hour rule you can't work more than 6 hours at any point without a 15 min break, a break of 15 or more allows you to work upto another 6 hours before needing another 15 min break. This works the same as driving 4.5 hours and a 45. (Only driving and other w...

You're still required to take a break on or before the next 6hrs expires, if you are exceeding 12 hrs. So that doesn't work if you do a 12 hour 30 min work shift

For working between 6-9 hours you need a 30 min break. only if your working time ends between 6-9 hours, otherwise no further breaks are required until you hit 12 hours working time or 4.5 hours driving. that’s right and he is working 6.5 hours so it falls between 6-9 hours.
