Seems reasonable to me Thank you that is what i am trying to say but what is the need to call me al...

Re: What’s an average wage for class 1 drivers? Better to be paid per hour or annually? Did 8 weeks at a company, take

Class one should be around £15 an hour, if it’s salaried, base it on doing 13 hours a day. £190-£200 a day. Then nights out if you do them it would be nice if all drivers could get £15 a hour PAYE but when the haulier as to pay the NI sick pay and holiday pay 15 becomes 20 and it is not in the job ...

Re: I have been working for an agency since June last year, worked for some good companies over the months but pay has

I love a good challenge. If you can drive around London you can drive anywhere in my opinion lol. I have money saved up to start my own business but to be honest I don’t have the stomach like you obviously did. I understand that driving class one and owning your own company are two different things...

Re: I have been working for an agency since June last year, worked for some good companies over the months but pay has

Never used one since i started in 1984 but i am moving forward by using agency drivers because it is cheaper for me and i don't have to put up with t...

Re: I have been working for an agency since June last year, worked for some good companies over the months but pay has

I think big companies should start paying better rates Rather than paying agencies double Then drivers can settle down in a good job with good pay, because drivers are undervalued for sure the more cost effective a company can be the more they can afford to pay their full time drivers. Companies us...

Re: I have been working for an agency since June last year, worked for some good companies over the months but pay has

plus 3% for pension contributions correct mate so £15 soon becomes £20 I thought if you are paid LTD they don’t have to pay employers NI. I am paid through umbrella and I pay the employers NI as well as employees NI. A Ltd driver is employed by the Ltd company so i would think they do. I was quotin...

But next week there will be a dozen new owner drivers in Felixstowe about to become the next Eddie Stobbart. Then there’s the man with 6 or more units running for a short time paying no tax or ni then disappearing without paying fuel or vat bills. The forwarders in container industry just love them...

yep. Welcome to UK - the country of brokers!!! I’ve lived here all my life. 🤣 Here is some real data. These look honest figures to me and i agree you can't make it pay only if you want to run one truck and be happy making the same money as an owner driver as a company driver. Could it not just be honest, decent, hardworking folk trying to get by in the world? would be interesting to see a companies income and expend...
