When you work on a 1% profit margin you cannot survive in haulage . Anything is possible if your prepared to work hard & do the jobs nobody wants to do & make a name at this .

when have I said I have knowledge on making a haulage firm profitable I haven't. Was stating a fact to your comment. That welding isn't a easy trade to be in. In fact it's acutely very psychical and hard on your body. And it isn't something you can learn in 10 days on a course.

Unfortunately mate it’s fund yourself. Do some homework before you enter this game you need 30k in the bank just to start, and you need to find your own work, and I mean your own work, if you need other people to find you work there’s no point in starting up you will just be an employed owner driver.

It seems like the only way a one man band would make money in this industry today is to have good work and run bent working all the hours you can. The margins are so small it doesn’t seem worth it to me. I thought about getting my own truck 30 years ago and it wasn’t great then. Up to you though. Good luck if you go for it 👍

Take it from a startup..go partner with someone in the business see if you can work together. Nobody in Ireland is lending to transport. Ask me how i know 🗓️🤠
Only other thing is sell some assets or cars you have stick it in the credit union and hope for the best
