Try Hermes / Evri as they are preparing for peak (Xmas period). Even if it’s 3-6 months, there’s your stepping stone and I think it’s approx £16 per hour.

As I’ve had a few offers since. I think with indeed half the time the company don’t look at all the applications

mate it's not the best job but Wren Trafford park are taking class 2s on, through links recruitment on indeed.

Works a graft but will get you valuable exp, they take on class 2 but also do class 1 trunking.

here's a tip that I've started doing, if at a truck stop or when tipping, speak to other drivers, ask them if jobs are going at their place and who to speak to......got two leads off it today.... there's no guarantees but hopefully it'll skip the filtering process their HR dept. has put in place

Nearly everyone has this start, keep plugging away and you'll get there, took me 4 months to get a class 2 position which was awful, following that after another 4 months was the role I was after! Keep persevering

Your last and actually far superior option is pretty much all you can do now. Put the phone down, ignore the agencies and go in face to face to local haulage firms with your CV in hand!
