The Senior Fleet Manager will play a critical role in shaping the company’s transportation strategy, ensuring the fleet operates smoothly, meets regulatory requirements, and contributes to the overall success of the organization. Strong leadership, operational expertise, financial acumen, and a commitment to safety and compliance are essential for success in this role.

Role:

Strategic Leadership:

Lead the development and execution of the company’s fleet management strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives. Provide strategic direction for optimizing fleet operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry regulations.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee day-to-day fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and driver safety. Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall fleet performance. Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

Financial Management:

Manage the fleet budget, forecasting, and financial reporting. Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate with vendors, and implement initiatives to optimize the total cost of ownership. Monitor and analyze financial metrics to ensure the fleet operates within budgetary constraints.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure the fleet’s compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks associated with fleet operations. Implement training programs to promote driver safety and regulatory compliance.

Technology Integration:

Evaluate, select, and implement advanced fleet management technologies to enhance tracking, monitoring, and reporting capabilities. Leverage telematics, GPS, and other emerging technologies to improve overall fleet efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance the customer experience.

The Person:

We’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

Proven experience in fleet management, preferably within healthcare or a related industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
In-depth knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance best practices, and regulatory compliance, including EV Fleets.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using fleet management software and tools.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
