All the drivers who pull their card in Calais after running out of hours then drive off into Dover docks to change over might have a problem! 🤔

well, they will have to do elsewhere, like many have done for years to avoid cars at the docks.
Its really not a problem.

As always there is a lot of stupid people on here who don't have a clue what they are talking about i thought this was a place for coach drivers to try and help each other out etc. not to post silly remarks and take the piss.

It’ll make it easier for DVSA to see which drivers drive down to Dover in a car (illegally) to then drive coach abroad 😂😂😂

officially you cant drive a "company" car as you are on the clock.
Bit different to driving your own to get to work.

Cat B vehicle (car) do not come under tacho rules, however you are technically working so your working hours count.

its called a manual entry, its the law.
Everything you do as a professional coach driver needs recording on the drivers card.
You may not like that fact, but hey ho , thats the rules🤗

where have I said it doesn't need recording and that I don't like it?? I haven't!!!
But, in reply to your last comment as far as I am aware you can't enter driving periods on a manual entry, you can only enter other duties, POA and rest.
Therefore for two reasons, the above and its a Cat B vehicle (not in Tacho Scope) you wouldn't enter it as as I said before it would then come under Working Hours Regulations not Driving Hours Regulations.
Thats the rules, as you say. 😄

driving a car or van etc etc which comes the EU rules as we are talking about EU rules here, has to be entered as "Other Work" on a digicard.
You also have to make a manual entry for holidays and sick days....🤗😁

how will it make it easier??
Having everyone change at Dover is easier for them as they could just pull everyone who meets a coach in a car and see what they can gleam out of them.
This was there could be numerous places for driver swaps.

Well aware as they started this last month. Absolutely crap especially for drivers hours.
Change over options are now calais or stop 24.
