Just done my medical at my GP... a bit of a surprise when they charged £135.70... has anybody else had a similar

The Doctor will only refer you to an optician if you cant read the chart. That was the case with me, I then had to make an opticians appointment and they made up glasses that I now have to wear when driving a bus though not necessary when driving a car., as the standard is different.

The doctors don’t test eyes any longer, I had to go to my opticians to have that part signed

mine tested mine ok
mine wouldn’t they said it had to be done by the optician

Not aloud by DVLA you will get two forms 1 for doctor 1 for eye test by optician.
