Just returned from Driving around EU and noticed most trailers have these signs on back and sides ! Is this new thing ?

It is a legal requirement for lorries and coaches and motorhomes over 3.5 ton in France now.

Yes in a word. New legislation came into play on the 01/01/202 with a 12 month period of grace until next year. https://trans.info/.../france-to-require-blind-spot...

Yep, we are selling them. Any vehicle from Jan 1st over 3.5t has to display them to the rear and sides, French are fining for vehicles without. Includes campers and motorhomes also.

There are two current versions, this for truck and the other for coach and bus.

It’s a small sign doubt anyone’s really gona see it. They’d be better off putting in as theory question for car drivers

We need huge stickers like those in cigarette packs.
Mangled cyclist with body parts strewn across the road.
That should make them think harder before breaking the laws of physics
