My new toys came today.
Trying to find a dash cam with no internal battery is hard work (it's going in a fuel tanker).

Have you checked it’s intrinsically safe?
And it’s zone 0
It's in the cab and power by the master switch so not required to be intrinsically safe the same as the radio, cab phone and most of the truck's wiring.
The phone if installed is to be intrinsically safe... all mobiles to be handed in or turned off on entry to site as per site induction / site rules..... the vehicles wiring is also intrinsically safe as per manufacturer, as you would expect it to be with being on a gantry on a fuel terminal. The radio and all equipment to be turned off in entry to terminal.
So yes it does.
I know a little more than you do it would seem.
Even the tacho is intrinsically safe.
Why zone 0? Zone 2 is in cab equipment & tacho is ex marked as permanently live when master switch turned off
I don't know much about fuel tankers I only own, operate and maintain two of them.
My family's first fuel delivery vehicle had a horse Infront of it because petrol was not invented back then! So I have been around it for a while.
yeah I was just curious why zone 0 was mentioned, I guess you know if you know
