Hi everyone I passed my class 1 on the 23rd January and have had no luck finding any type of class 1 work not even any class 2 does anyone know of any companies round Wolverhampton or Cannock that would consider taking a new pass tried culina about 5 times and no reply also applied for over 50 class 1 and 2 jobs and advice is welcome

Yh mate every agency round by me wants at least 6 months experience but how am I meant to get that experience if nobody will give it me it’s so annoying

i work at best mate, bidfood was us but it got split into different companies bidfood does pubs, schools etc, Best food does kfc, bk, tgi, taco bell etc. both take new pass and both pay around £42k

Go out with your CV knock on doors mate. Chat to people and ask where else they think might have a driving role. Be flexible and take a class 2 job and work your way up.

Here a link for a class 1 Tanker job (no ADR required as is food product) with Abbey Logistics in Buxton. I worked for them at Erith after passing my class 1. They will take on and train new pass drivers, so you can gain experience.

I’m newly passed and found really hard to find either class 1 or 2, even handing cvs in left right and centre. However I found the breakdown recovery companies seem the easiest to get on with for some experience… I’m now driving a class 2 recovery truck, it’s not what I wanted but it’s giving me some experience for when I eventually find the right job on class 1
