DVLA have done it again to me, took my Bike Licence off me years ago now due to a c**k up they've sent my Licence back with no HGV on it and said they can't put it back on. So I'm looking for driving work in the Thanet area up to 7.5t part time or full time prob is I'm 66 in 24 days time, Any ideas please?

Your employer must have a copy as they have to take copy’s periodically for their records. Get that then sue the c#&ts.

They had to correct their mistake. As long as you pass the medical and you got your DCPC then you can keep it.

When it came back it expired the day before my 71st. Carried on driving community bus until then. Tories cut funding so bus and me finished same time. DVLA are useless.

Did you get a medical done. It can be put back if you have a medical it's because of your age.

my husband’s renewal has come through today and he’s giving his up as he’s retired and on the back page it states that you give up the right to drive lorries from the date of processing not expiry.

You were unlucky as they seem to have got their act together and done it quickly. If you want it back on you will have to do a medical unfortunately.

Thats taking your living away as just because your reach 66 doesn't mean you cant drive, this is on health and disqualification not age. I will still get copy and write and dispute this.
