Tesco's Purfleet are advertising at the moment for drivers.
Otherwise as you said agencies are really the only way in.

perhaps he doesn't want his present boss to know he wants out! It could make things difficult!

indeed you are correct, however might also make “his current boss” pay him a bit more, if he values him or her?

If the night out money is included in that £55k that is a false representation.

If you deduct the night out cash from it then divide the working hours into you are possibly on crap wages for sixty hours.

Nothing pedantic about it, it is two different payments and using it as part of the pay structure gives a false figure which over the years employers have used to degrade the actual wages earned.

As a day cabdriver I was put into a hotel and also had £300 a week expenses, my salary was still £55K. Oh and a company vehicle to run around in!

I’ve found drainage the most profitable I get around the 40k basic
And the overtime rates are good was getting the same tramping in class 1 as I do for 10hrs a day and home almost every night and only have to drive class 2. Pay is dependent on experience but it’s an easy job tbh the truck loads/unloads it’s self you just set the pipes up

If you want to Earn better money travel outside Kent. Both Essex and Sussex are head and shoulders pay wise over Kent, just don’t go as far as Suffolk as the pay is dire up there.

It's interesting how the pay landscape varies across different regions – who would've thought Essex and Sussex would be the heavy hitters? Thanks for the tip on steering clear of Suffolk, too. Money talks, right?

By the way, ever considered exploring the realm of pay to play apps during your downtime? Could be a fun way to make some extra cash while you're on the move. Just a thought!
