About the Role

Base Location: Reading RG1 3JH with some flexible working as discussed with Manager

Salary: £26,609 - £30,472 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

SSE operates a Fleet of circa 5500 cars and vans throughout our sites in the UK and EU as well as over 1000 items of plant equipment. As one of the Fleet and Plant Management Administrators, you will be responsible for all administrative support for through life management of all vehicles, plant and associated equipment used within SSE and work with our supplier base, such as lease, HIRE and fleet management providers through a central function, delivering 1st class service to our internal business stakeholders.

This will involve answering calls and emails daily from internal and external customers and stakeholders as well as maintaining the management systems, including consolidating data from both internal and external sources across multi-functional operational equipment to ensure operational needs are met.

You will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are compliant with current regulations, scheduling repairs where necessary and for maintaining all safety related records, giving guidance on current in-life processes and ensuring that information is recorded in accordance with working procedures.

The SSE fleet is committed to transition its fleet, where possible to zero emission, in support of SSE Groups Net Zero strategies and you will be an intricate part of that journey.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

Prior knowledge of vehicle fleet management market (not essential).
- Front customer facing skills- Liaising with suppliers & customers (verbally & via email).

Good written English skills and exemplary attention to detail.
- PC/IT literate - MS Office skills - logging & updating fleet data.

Ability to use self-initiative and confidence.
