Bus/PCV Engineer required in Saltford, Somerset.
Up to £18.91 per hour pending experience.
40-hour week (rotating shifts) - 6:00am-2:00pm / 9:00am-5:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm

Our client, a public and private transport vehicle supplier across the Southwest England, are currently looking to hire a Bus/Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) Engineer to maintain their fleet of vehicles from their service centre located in Saltford, Somerset.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working with a small and friendly team, as a Bus/PCV Engineer your key objectives will include:
Repairing and maintaining our client's fleet of buses to a high standard
Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
Road test vehicle when required (if holder of HGV/PCV licence)
Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to the Engineering Manager.
Adhering to Health & Safety policies.
Attend vehicle breakdowns and or/accidents as and when necessary.
To be eligible, you will ideally be trained to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as either an HGV or PCV Technician however our client is very open to considering Technicians with no formal qualifications but several years strong practical "on the job" experience as well as looking at Car/LCV Technicians looking to move over in PCV maintenance and repair given full training to convert over would be available.

Overall, you will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active HGV or PCV driving licence would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential as our client would be willing to put candidates through the training for this.
