Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Lincolnshire (Hybrid)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus, 25 Holidays, Pension

The Company:
This is a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturing business who really understand the importance of work / life balance and support the development of their employees.

The Role:
In this role, you will hold responsibility for the UK Transport function (Inbound & Outbound volumes), leading and supporting a team of Transport Planners and managing third party haulier performance and relationships.

Working collaboratively with the sales, commercial, and customer service teams you will be required to respond to any logistics challenges that may arise to ensure the highest standards of customer service is achieved.

Being responsible for the transport spend, you will be required to influence continuous improvement initiatives whilst maintaining the right balance between service and cost – cost to serve will be a key metric.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a natural leader, someone who can coach and develop their team and with a management style that delivers results through engagement.

You will need strong analytical skills with previous experience of managing operating budgets and P&L accounts for your department. Previous experience of leading haulier relationships and working collaboratively with 3PL providers is crucial in this role.

Desirable experience or knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Continuous improvement (CI) qualifications, and working with SAP are all beneficial but essential requirements.
