yer, I saw them ticket a coach that had nowhere else to park, yet 2 days later they parked their van there for nearly an hour while walking around ticketing people, they should have given themselves a ticket, lol

What a joke. Why should this traffic warden be above the law that he himself is inforcing.

Disgusting 🫣. This was not at a busy time but at about 11am. The wardens van was parked on double yellow lines, right on the junction, obscuring the view round the corner.

these people need to be taught basic common sense… the way he is parked is causing more issues, than the bus trying to get children on safe. Clearly Torbay councils core values dont include empathy.

imagine ticketing a coach which isn’t just an ordinary coach but a school coach parked outside a school. Where else are they meant to park it 😂🙈

The problem is - its that particular traffic warden (the bearded one), he is a decision maker and he is notorious for issuing tickers when they are not necessary BUT ALSO breaks the law himself!

Crazy none caring idiots like that coach companies will automatically build in a ticket fee to the coach hire charge & then the school will automatically pay for parking ticket fee given or not 😎

Was the coach on the yellow zig zags? This is becoming a problem nationwide for coaches picking up and dropping off. It's sometimes the only option as parents parking around them, means they are too far away. But drivers are increasingly just stopping that extra distance and taking the complaints over the fine.

majority of the road hospital workers park on because its close (fair play to them) so he was about 4 zigzags over nothing major! Everyone was speaking to him and he couldn't give two s**ts just carried on booking! Xx

I got the same in Newbury a couple of years ago, dropping kids of from a day trip it was kicking out time when I got them back to the school, cars everywhere,on the pavement everywhere, alot of these parents kids were on my coach,no where to drop of so I park on the "zig zag s" right outside the school gates, traffic warden appeared from no where and gave me a ticket, the parents that were waiting for their kids went nuts at him, totally ignored all the cars on pavements and double yellow lines but done me,we appealed it with the council and their reply was I should have stayed in the road until a space became available,as there were cars parked both sides of the road so "Technically" I was blocking the road, they didn't care,I responded by saying what if a ambulance or fire engine wanted to get by,nope still wouldn't withdraw it,I wanted to take it further but my boss paid it eventually !!!!!! I can sort of understand getting the ticket, the thing that pissed me off was all the cars parked on double yellows and pavements.....I suppose I was an easy target !!!!!

I got warned by a policeman years ago for doing that when trying to pick up some primary children from a rural school for a trip, if I'd parked back before all the cars I'd have been around a bend out of sight with no footpath. As he pointed out they were after a particular mum that parked on them every day and if he ticketed her he would have to do me too so he suggested I moved. 😉 Sadly if we want the cars stopping in these restricted areas then we have to adhere too.
